Introduction

Evidence-based nursing practice is currently relevant, and its development is actively gaining momentum. This is because the actual data can allow nursing staff the skill to provide clinically effective care and approach the treatment of patients with great success. Evidence-based practice is an approach to medical practice designed to optimize the decision-making process by emphasizing the use of evidence from conducted studies. Although the effectiveness of fact-based nursing practice has not yet been fully proven, the transition to this type of work will advance the development of nursing theory.

Main body

In advanced nursing practice, the transition to evidence-based work can advance the development of nursing theory in different ways. One of the options is for nurses to study difficult situations, methods of treatment, and results that were identified earlier (Yip, 2021). This will enable nursing staff to provide highly effective medical care, as well as gain skills and knowledge that will have an impact on the development of nursing. Nurses need to learn how to apply the studied material to patients’ problems, as well as take an active part in the process of involving patients in clinical decision-making.

Another way to transition to evidence-based nursing is to work with modules that will help nurses develop skills to understand research as well as critically assess its importance. This path is difficult because many nurses have difficulty studying theories. It is necessary to implement this solution in the work of nursing staff since, without proper practice, its performance will not be effective (Chesak et al., 2021). Nurses need to learn how to determine the validity of the studies they are studying, and which will be applied to a particular patient.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the transition to evidence-based nursing will advance the development of nursing theory. Nevertheless, it is essential to pay attention that some ways require constant work and practice since, without this, efficiency will be absent even if the work is done by advanced nurses. It is possible to make the transition through the study of materials by nurses, as well as through critical evaluation and determination of only the necessary information.
