Responsibility of Parents towards Children Obesity
Parents play a key role in enhancing the obesity of their children. To reduce the rate of kid’s obesity parents should change family activity levels of eating habits. Parents should also be role models to their children by participating in physical activities and also eating healthy food (Werner, 2017). Furthermore, they should encourage their children to carry out physical activities and also reduce the time spent in front of the television. Parents should inspire children to take food only when famished and also include at least vegetables and fruits in their diet daily. Parents should also stock the refrigerator with nonfat foods rather than stocking them with snacks which have high fat and sugar levels. Parents should reassure their children to swill a lot of water other than drinks and should stop using or squashing food as a prize or as a reprimand.
